Pine Bluff Bridge

Crossing Big Walnut Creek and constructed with a Howe truss, neither the date of construction or builder of this 211 foot long structure is known.

Established in 1821 and named in honor of General Israel Putnam, hero of the French and Indian War, this county is located in Central Indiana where Greencastle is the County Seat.

Putnam County originally had thirty (30) covered bridges plus two (2) that it shared with other counties. Today it has nine (9) remaining.

Points of interest in the County besides its beautiful covered bridges include: DePauw University and Lieber State Park.
